Get to Know Chris

One quiet summer’s afternoon, we sat down with Award Winning Realtor Christopher Higashi to ask him a few questions completely outside the realm of real estate. We asked him the following questions.

Where do you live?

I currently reside in Milton.

What makes you happy?

Wow. That’s big question. I never really gave it much thought, but I would say that it starts with my family, especially my three kids. I think it ends with the feeling I get when your kids or others beam or rave proudly of you, in large part because I’ve done something really right or well. Maybe it just comes down to being the best me I can possibly be, I’m not sure.

What really irritates me?

Excuses really irritate me. They are nothing more than time wasters for me.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

It probably came from the movie Karate Kid. Mr. Miagi kneels down and advises Daniel “Karate you do, yes…Or Karate you do, no…Or Karate you do, so-so, that’s when you get squashed like a grape!” That day I learned about commitment. If you going to do something, then do it well, otherwise don’t do it all!

What was the last CD you bought?

Ed Shereen’s album. I’m not sure about the name.

Who is your favorite musician?

I’m really hooked on R. Kelly right now. How long that will last, I’m not sure.

What was the last book you read?

Man, I can’t remember and I am an English major. I constantly read newspapers, magazines, textbooks and online articles…hmmm…I think the last book I read was “An American Life” – by Ronald Reagan, but it was a while back.

Who do you consider to be the most beautiful woman in the world?

Well that changes from month to month, but for me beauty is truly more than skin deep…If I had to say right now…Id have to go with Scarlett Johansson.

What is your favorite thing to do on a snowy day?

Take my kids tobogganing, for sure!

If you were granted 3 wishes, what would they be?

1) To be alive to witness all of my children married, with children, and hopefully very happy.

2) I would definitely love to travel the world or have the means to travel the world.

3) I’d like to be Prime Minister one day…I think I would do a pretty good job!

What exactly were you doing on September 11th as the terrorist attacks were being carried out in America?

I was busy try to counsel my girlfriend at the time who felt insecure at the notion of working in downtown Toronto.

Have you ever been in love?

A few times. I think.

Do you believe in the after-life?

No, but I do believe in karma.

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time?

Not too sure, but hopefully I’m even happier than I am today.

Who is your hero?

My three kids are my heroes. I truly idolize them.
